How to care for your piece
Mount on solid wall
Choose a shaded exterior wall within 3 ft of your spigot, then anchor the bracket into studs or masonry using the included hardware. Confirm the reel swivels 180° without hitting siding, downspouts, or the faucet handle.
Connect and pressure-test
Hand-tighten the short leader hose to your spigot using the brass fitting and a rubber washer, then slowly open the water and check every joint for drips. Snug any weeping connection a quarter-turn with pliers — do not overtighten the brass.
Learn the lock-and-rewind
Pull the hose out steadily and listen for the click every few feet — that's the ratchet catching so you can water hands-free. To retract, tug firmly once to release, then walk it back so it rewinds evenly in 10–12 seconds without whipping.
Rinse nozzle after use
After each session, twist the nozzle through all 9 patterns under running water for 5 seconds to flush grit from the jets. Wipe the brass threads dry and set the dial to SHOWER so the internal spring stays unloaded.
Winterize before first freeze
Once nights drop below 40°F, shut the spigot, open the nozzle to drain the line, then unclip the reel and store it indoors above freezing. Skipping this cracks the PVC layers and voids the warranty — takes 5 minutes and doubles the reel's lifespan.
