Care guide
How to care for your piece
Unfold and lock
Set the chair on flat ground, pull the armrests outward until the frame clicks fully open, and press down on the seat to confirm both side hinges are locked. Check that all four feet sit flat before you put weight on it.
Set shade and recline
Tilt the sunshade forward until it blocks glare from your seated eye level, then lift the backrest and drop it into one of the four notches — upright for reading, flattest for napping. Reposition the shade any time the sun moves.
Break it in gently
For the first sit, ease your weight in rather than dropping, and avoid the flattest recline until the Oxford fabric has stretched once or twice. Keep the 250 lb limit in mind and don't sit on the armrests.
Rinse and dry after use
After beach or pool trips, hose off sand and chlorine from the fabric and frame, then stand the chair open in the shade until fully dry. Putting it away damp is the fastest way to get mildew and rust at the hinges.
Fold flat for storage
Lower the backrest, collapse the shade against the frame, and squeeze the armrests together until the chair locks flat at 28 inches. Store it upright in a closet or garage, off concrete, so the feet and fabric stay dry between uses.
