Roll, don't drag
Grip the front legs, tilt back onto the two rear wheels like a hand truck, and roll across the patio. Dragging on all four legs scrapes the acacia end-grain and loosens joints.
Oil twice a season
Wipe down with a damp cloth, let it dry, then rub in a thin coat of teak or tung oil in spring and mid-summer. This keeps the weather-resistant finish from graying and stops surface cracks.
