Common questions
Which knife should I start with if I only buy one?
The 8" chef knife is the everyday workhorse — it handles vegetables, herbs, and most proteins. If you cook a lot of Asian-style meals, the 6.5" Japanese knife is a lighter, nimbler choice.
Can I put these in the dishwasher?
We don't recommend it. Hand wash with warm soapy water and dry right away to protect the edge and keep the Damascus pattern looking sharp.
How sharp are they out of the box?
Sharp enough to slice a ripe tomato cleanly on arrival. With regular honing, the edge holds up well through daily cooking.
Does the 7-piece set come gift-ready?
Yes. The full set ships in a fitted gift box with a lid — a nice option for weddings, housewarmings, or a serious upgrade to your own kitchen.

Care guide
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and spot-clean with a barely-damp cloth when needed — skip harsh cleaners. Keep away from prolonged direct sun and damp to protect the colour and finish. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Care guide
How to care for your piece
Rinse and dry
Hand-wash the blade in warm soapy water and dry it fully with a soft towel before first use. Skip the dishwasher — heat and detergent dull the edge and dark-spot the Damascus pattern.
Test the edge
Slice a ripe tomato with the tip and let the weight of the knife pull down through the skin. If it drags, you're pressing too hard — the honed edge does the cutting for you.
Cut on wood or plastic
Use a wood or soft-plastic board for every cut, never glass, stone, or ceramic. Hard surfaces chip the fine tip within a few uses.
Hone weekly, sharpen yearly
Run the blade down a honing rod 5–6 strokes per side once a week to keep it aligned. Send it out (or use a whetstone) for a real sharpening about once a year with daily use.
Store dry and separate
Wipe the blade dry the moment you're done and store it on a magnetic strip, in a knife block, or with an edge guard — never loose in a drawer. Moisture spots the Damascus layers and drawer contact chips the tip.
